About this deal

Powered rotating spray mop, for washing hard floors including tiles, stone, laminate and delicate wood The robot comes with a dry tank for vacuuming and a tank for mopping. The wet tank features two circular mop pads on the bottom that spin to scrub hard floors with a cleaning solution or just plain water. Bissell makes several different solutions you can use when mopping, including multi-surface, pet multi-surface with Febreze, and sanitizing formulas. This is a handy feature that’s rarely found on comparable models. On some other units, the manufacturer recommends that you fold the edges of area rugs underneath themselves to stop a carpet robo-cleaner from rolling over them when they’re mopping. However, this ridiculous solution is totally unnecessary when you have a machine like the SpinWave on the job. Sleek Design Most of the time, you'll probably run it in Auto mode so it mops everywhere, but Bissell recommends using Spot mode with its sanitizing formula to clean up concentrated messes, like pet accidents. To do this, simply place the robot in the center of the area you want to clean, then select Spot mode in the app. Your floor will likely be wet and slippery after running the SpinWave in Spot mode, so use caution until it dries. Auto-stop: When you stand the mop upright, the spinning action stops, and you can leave it standing there to move furniture or answer a phone, etc.

You can even deploy your unit while you’re at work. When you come home, you’ll be ecstatic at the sight of freshly mopped floors or clean carpets (depending on which mode you activate). It’s even for people who work from the comfort of their own homes. Its super quiet operation means you can run it during Zoom calls without the shrill shriek of an overly loud vacuum cleaner disturbing an important meeting. When this unit runs, it does a good job. I wanted this for the mop to work in tandem with another robot vacuum. I could definitely tell my floors were cleaner. This did a good job of identifying where rugs were and avoiding them. It does a good job of mapping the layout of my home, like most vacuums with LiDAR. Works equally well on hard floors, vinyl, tile, wood, and on carpet, and mopping performance good (but not as good as a human)It's worth mentioning that at one point in testing, the robot experienced a connectivity issue and wouldn't work with the app. I had to remove it from the app, then go through the setup process again, after which it worked fine. We also like the "spot" cleaning feature, where you set it in one area, and it runs in increasing and then decreasing circles thoroughly around that spot (about a 3-foot diameter area) for a deeper clean, either in vacuum or mop mode. The target audience is pet owners, so, yes, if you have a pet this will work for you--but if you don't have pets, it's a great product at a great price regardless The iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ is the first floor-cleaning robot with a fully retractable mop. When it detects carpet, the robot automatically lifts its mopping plate out of the way, rests it on top of the device, and continues vacuuming. This allows the pricey 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop hybrid to complete both tasks in a single cleaning run. Like most other robot vacuums, the SpinWave features a main brush roll on the bottom, plus dual edge-cleaning brushes.

From there, it walks you through the setup process. Press Get Started, select the SpinWave Robot from the list, turn it on if you haven't already done so, and press OK. The app then instructs you to locate a QR code under the dustbin and scan it with your phone to start the pairing process. Adding to the sleek aesthetics is an attractive light ring circling the top, which indicates the robot's status. When charging, the light ring will pulse once, then "breathe" (pulse slowly) for 30 seconds before turning off. A smaller light on the Start/Pause button will breathe the whole time the robot is charging. When the robot is fully charged, the Start/Pause button will shine solid. Like most floor-cleaning robots, the SpinWave requires regular maintenance, which includes emptying and washing the dustbin after every few sessions, and periodically cleaning the brush roll and caster wheel. You'll also need to occasionally clean the edge brushes, or replace them altogether, to maintain optimal performance. Bissell offers maintenance instructions in the SpinWave manual, and how-to videos in its app. We think you still need to do a detail/base clean about once or twice a month using your regular vacuum and steam mop, but the robot is great for everyday maintenance Wet mopping can use a low, medium, or high water use setting. The cleaning with the high water use setting is very good indeed. Medium is great for dusting floors or when there is no major mess. Low mode mops less well, but the battery will run longer with it if you have a big house.

Once everything is set up optimally, you can have it operate at night or when out of the house with no worries People with mobility issues and certain disabilities may really benefit from a robot vacuum, but you have to evaluate if a pricier product that uses mapping technologies and automatic waste removal would be better. Do a good floor clean before using this robot. Since this is better for maintenance, you’ll get better results. Let’s say you have height differences between types of flooring in your home (for example, between a low-pile carpet and a hardwood floor). In that case, you’ll be glad to hear that the Bissell SpinWave can handle these transitions without any loss of operational performance. When it reaches the edge of a rug, it simply turns around in the other direction. It can even detect and avoid carpeting in mopping mode. That way, your carpets won’t get unnecessarily wet. On-demand spray: The spray trigger on the handle lets you control how much solution gets onto the floor. Use as much or as little as you like.

Dry vacuuming performance is excellent. Definitely not as good as with our Miele cannister vac, but we have to use the Miele way way less now. It easily removes crumbs, hair, fur, bulkier items up to the size of about a large marble, smaller leaves, pine needles, and definitely dust dust bunnies. The carpets look fresh vacuumed texture-wise, too. Run the vacuum portion of the robot first then do the mopping feature. The bin is smaller on the mop canister. If you have older kids who are good at doing chores like vacuuming and mopping, you can skip the robot, but if your kids are too busy or not good at chores, then the robot may be a really good idea.

Cons: the app kinda glitchy. Sometimes the connection with the robot is lagging. Battery life cleans our entire downstairs (1000sq ft) with one charge and has more juice left but not enough to do say a dry mode immediately followed by a wet mode. We have a semi professional GE cafe range and with no zone set up it tries to go under it even tho the top part is too high. The robot has also "mapped" through the sliding glass door and it does try to get out through the glass. So we had to set up a zone for that. Speaking of zones, my last complaint is one time I put it in our downstairs bathroom and closed the door and ran it, and it lost all mapping we previously had done - you can't bring it up and down stairs without redoing the mapping. The Spinwave comes with 2 scrubby pads and 2 soft touch pads. It also comes with two 8 oz. bottles of multi-surface formula cleaning solution. If you hate mopping and also happen to loathe cleaning the shower, tub, or any other similar surface, the Samsung Jetbot Mop might be the robotic helper of your dreams. Because of the two spinning pads on the bottom and a handle on top, this versatile robot can scrub the gunk off of tile, vinyl, laminate, or hardwood floors with little help on your part. As mentioned, it also doubles as a handheld cleaning tool for washing your walls. It doesn't offer some of the perks of pricier competitors, such as app or voice control, but it's still worth a spot on your short list because of its niche capabilities.

If you don’t want to put any effort toward cleaning your floors, and you’re willing to pay for that convenience, then the Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni should be at the top of your list. It scrubs and cleans well and navigates efficiently, so it works in homes with lots of room and plenty of floor space. It also handles pet hair without tangles in case you have furry roommates. On-demand spray trigger allows you to control the amount of water and detergent that gets applied to the floor. Small spaces including apartments (as long as not cluttered) and midsize homes should do well. Large spaces are fine, too, but battery may need recharging to fully cover a larger home.

Self-propelling /swiveling: It’s not technically self-propelled, but the spinning action helps you push it with very little effort. The swiveling head maneuvers around furniture and gets into corners well. We found the robot runs for about 1.5 hours in dry mode with medium suction before needing to recharge, which is enough to clean the main floors. You can extend the run time by setting a lower suction strength in the settings.
