Unintentional activation of the eBike system poses a risk of injury. each of these bikes (except HD-750) are using the exact same controller (Bolton Rad Power upgrade 30amp controller) and display (bolton Rad Power KT-LCD8H). They are all programmed exactly the same. Meaning that the P and C settings are identical on all of these bikes as the motor specs are the same (number of magnets, tire size, etc). The HD-750 has the bikonit controller, but the settings are the same as the other bikes.

As you said about protective clothing etc, I don't need as I can't go faster than 10mph ...at the moment. I am an experienced hand biker and know the dangers and do use all protective gear especially as I regularly ride in sportives at up to 60kmh (downhill!) If you let folks know your local someone may be able to test by simply swapping the lcd over to try.My guess is that the controller needs setting up, as the top speed should be legally 25 KMH, or around 15 MPH. The tabs on the base of the case and the slider (these hold the battery to the slider) are very thin on the Hailong case (~2.7mm) and poorly supported/designed. Also, due to the Short length of the slider (due to the controller), there are only 6 tabs. The only way it was possible for others to offer a 52V battery in the Hailong case, was to discard the standard cell holders and glue the cells together.
hello, I have an ebike with a "KT sine wave controller 36V 500W 48V 500W Hailong controller Big Hailong battery case controller 36V / 48V 22A 9 mosfers". Our EM3ev Jumbo Shark case has a different profile from the Hailong equivalent. This means you can fit this big capacity battery into smaller frames. There is space for a controller on the Hailong Slider. This controller (that is rarely even fitted) takes away valuable space from the battery. It also means that the slider mounting points do not align with the water bottle mounting points on most bikes (some will drill a hole through the controller and add an additional bolt, or even drill a hole through their bike frame..). The slider section on the Hailong is only thin plastic, with no metallic structure.The answer is that, unless you are seriously budget or weight constrained, this would probably be a bad battery investment. It might fit the bill initially for your commuting needs, but then it doesn't really leave any reserve if you need to run some errands on the way home or forget to charge it up one night etc. Even worse, as the battery ages over time, the capacity drops. After a year your 8Ah battery is now only 7Ah, it's only barely able to do your daily commute, and the next year when it is just 6Ah you now need to carry the charger with you and top it up at work every day. Only charge the battery using original TrikExplor chargers. When using chargers that are not supplied by TrikExpor, the risk of fire cannot be excluded. The EM3ev Jumbo Shark case is designed for 70 cells, including cell holder and BMS. We design and manufacture the CNC cell holder, so it is a snug fit inside the case.
