About this deal

Formally the Soviet designation system used a two-letter abbreviation to designate the role of the aircraft, then a number for the model in that sequence followed by the number of engines, and the engine used. Compared to the TSKB-26, it had an all-metal structure, extended nose, sliding cockpit canopy, fixed windshield, improved engine fairing and more. Extremely weak defensive firepower: terrible gun coverage at the rear/bottom, you cannot aim at planes at your side, tail or underside.

On one of these, flown on 28/29th April 1939, pilot V Kokkinaki and navigator M Gordienko covered 4,971 miles 8,000km (4,048 miles/ 6,515km in a straight line) non-stop at an average speed of 216mph (348km/h). Flight tests of the second example pre-production aircraft, conducted May–October 1937, revealed that it was slightly inferior to the TsKB-30 in performance, but still exceeded its requirements by a considerable margin. A "drophead coupé" convertible, while not common, still considerably outnumbers the "fixed head coupé" – 84 of the former were produced, while just five of the latter were built. This performance arguably made it the best twin-engined bomber in the world already or entering service in 1937.

Most of the times against manoeuvring or heavily armed/armoured attackers, you will not survive long.Learn how to navigate this environmental shift and its impact on land managers, developers, and local planning authorities. It had no dangerous tendencies such as rapid loss of speed, wing stall and arbitrary ballooning during landing. Neither ASN nor the Flight Safety Foundation are responsible for the completeness or correctness of this information. The prototype TSKB-30 was demonstrated over Moscow's Red Square on May 1, 1936, performing a 360-degree somersault with test pilot Kirkinarsky at the controls, impressing Stalin and accelerating production.

However, its Achilles’ heel lies in its limited maneuverability, which can make it a tempting target for enemy fighters. Aircraft with this engine are properly referred to as DB-3 2M-86, but are sometimes referred to as the DB-3A, after the three-step upgrade program planned for the aircraft.

At the rear, the DB2/4 Mark II's tailfins (after the 1st few early cars) were altered to use the rear lights from the Humber Hawk. Changes included the front grille, that would become the shape of all future Aston Martin models (designed by Bert Thickpenny), a new instrument panel, and available Girling disc brakes. On July 27, 1940 on the plane TsKB-30N-2 "Ukraina" an all-female crew consisting of the first pilot Mariya Nesterenko, co-pilot Maria Mikhalyova and navigator Nina Rusakova made a non-stop flight on the route Khabarovsk- Lviv (the pilots traveled about 7000 km in 22. Although it may not be the fastest bird in the sky, it more than compensates with its impressive array of loadouts. It was powered by two Mikulin M-85 engines, each producing 850 horsepower, allowing it to reach a maximum speed of 390 km/h and giving it a range of more than 2,000 kilometers.
