About this deal

This product is still the most well known of the Halti products. And, it is the one most people think of when they say the brand name. So anything they use or wear has to be comfortable for them while they walk or run. The HALTI has proven itself to be comfortable. However, the Halti is specifically designed to associate pulling with a negative consequence for your dog. Are Haltis Comfortable for Dogs?

The HALTI brand is well established and has a good reputation so I thought I'd start off on the right foot and the team kindly offered to send us their same brand Double Ended Leads to review too. In short: Will a HALTI harness stop my dog from pulling? The Halti should be viewed as an aid to proper control and training, and not as a substitute; you will still have to work pro-actively with your dog when they are wearing one! While the Halti is designed to enhance your level of control over the dog, some dogs will become overly submissive and subdued when working in a Halti. It's generally a very well-made product and I love the padding around the leg hoops and mesh around the chest to make it comfortable and safe for dogs to use. With the No Pull Harness, 97% of dog owners said they ‘ saw immediate results with their dog not pulling’. Most body harnesses aren’t aversive. They are simply designed to distribute pressure over a larger area of your dog’s body than a traditional dog collar would. The majority of headcollars are made from nylon, which is soft around your dog’s nose and face. If your dog pulls along, you may wish to look for a headcollar which is padded or fleece to give even more protection.

If you have a puppy pulling on a leash, our Halti Training range can help! We recommend that walking-on-the-lead training is only done for a short period each day, and within the overall scope of your puppy’s recommended daily exercise allowance. It is important to note that lead walk training should only be a part of your puppy’s daily exercise which should also include a wide range of activities to aid mental stimulation and early socialisation. A common guideline for estimating a daily exercise level for your puppy is 5 minutes of exercise per month of age, twice a day. So for example, a 5-month-old puppy could have 2 x 25-minute walks daily. However, you should consult with your vet on the appropriate number of minutes per day as a puppy’s breed and development stage will also play a role in the overall exercise time. Features • STOPS PULLING - a simple no pull solution for most dogs, with both a no pull lifting action and front control steering.A perfect option for flat nosed breeds who can't wear a headcollar This collar has two humane training modes, vibration and beep. The vibration mode also has two options, vibrate and strong vibrate. Depending on your dog’s nature, you can set it on sensitivity levels from 0–5. So, the feeling when your dog pulls has to be uncomfortable enough to prevent the action of pulling in the future. Not Designed for Constant Use

If your dog needs to be muzzled on walks, for whatever reason, a Halti is not a suitable alternative. Will a Halti Stop my Dog from Pulling? The idea is that if your dog is pulling, they do so with their chest and body, but if it is their head and nose which feels the pressure of the pull, they are more likely to react. It is harmless and still allows them to eat and breathe.
