Alternatively, it can be that some areas of your wall are more exposed or more susceptible to letting water in, despite being sound and this can also cause damp patches or a uniformly damp area to form. Dryseal waterproofer is both an effective and breathable formulation, and so we can recommend it for waterproofing your outside walls. There are a few reasons why your masonry may have faults and each of these causes will have its own solution, which we will discuss here.

Once applied, it absorbs into and bonds with walls, making them waterproof without changing their appearance. When cleaning, make sure that the masonry is damaged as little as possible.

A second application can be carried out at any time but is usually not necessary. Resistance to rain is normally achieved within one hour of application. Stormdry Cream appears white immediately after treatment, making it easy to tell which areas have been treated. After 15 – 20 minutes from application the cream starts to penetrate into the masonry and the whiteness will fade over time. After 24 – 48 hours the wall will have returned to its original appearance, there may be some slight darkening which will fade over time.

If you want to be sure that your salts and mould won’t return, you can apply a waterproof render or fit a mesh membrane to your wall before replastering. There may be some occasions when it is more efficient or cost effective to have the materials shipped direct from our suppliers to the customer. to ensure that Stormdry Cream does not splash onto glass, paintwork, patios, plants, etc. Any splashes should be cleaned away with warm soapy water to avoid staining. After application, tools should be cleaned immediately with warm, soapy water.
