About this deal

The Seiko SKX007 shares many similarities with the Invicta Pro Diver, including its stainless steel construction, automatic movement, and water resistance. Both watches also feature a unidirectional rotating bezel and a date window. However, the SKX007 has a slightly smaller case size at 42mm compared to the Pro Diver's 40mm, which may appeal to those with smaller wrists. If you are finding it hard to choose between these two models, then you have come to the right place. Therefore, if you have an open budget and don’t mind spending a few more dollars on a diver watch, then you can consider the 24760 model. The non-OB models have a scalloped bezel (Omega Seamaster-Style), so that would be the 8926 and 9937. Whether this is a benefit or a downside is for you to decide. What is clear is that this is a true workhorse movement and can also be found in the Seiko 5. It is not pretty, but it is durable. While it has none of the new innovations of watchmaking, it doesn’t need them either and exposes how much of watchmaking technology ends up just being fluff.

While most Pro Divers come with a yellow rotor, mine arrived in a simple silver-toned version. I don’t mind it, as the yellow version tends to be too flashy and overdone anyway. Another comparable option is the Orient Mako II, which offers a similar aesthetic to the Invicta Pro Diver at a more affordable price point. The Mako II features a stainless steel case, automatic movement, and a unidirectional rotating bezel. It also has a 41.5mm case size, making it slightly larger than the Pro Diver. The 8926, 8926OB, 9937, and 9937OB are very similar watches. Kudos to you for trying to get a straight answer about it. The Pro Diver 8926OB offers a classic and timeless aesthetic that is reminiscent of high-end luxury watches. Its stainless steel case and bracelet exude a sense of durability and elegance, making it suitable for both formal occasions and everyday wear. The watch features a unidirectional rotating bezel with a coin edge, adding a touch of sophistication to its overall design. The bands and cases in the two models are made from premium quality stainless steel that is resistant to rust, corrosion, and dents.

Functionality-wise, the Pro Diver 8926OB offers a water resistance of up to 200 meters (660 feet), making it suitable for various water activities. The luminous hands and markers ensure excellent visibility even in low-light conditions, further enhancing its practicality. I have a fairly extensive collection ranging from the Casio F91W to a subtle (ish) Rolex Datejust with a white dial, but I have always avoided the Pro Diver thinking it was going to be flimsy. My wife gave me an INVICTA Pro Diver last Christmas and I’m STILL excited. A beautiful, rugged, dependable and accurate time piece. The 9937 and 9937OB use a Sellita SW200. This is also a reliable movement that’s found in many watches. It’s not a bad thing in itself that it doesn’t turn easily because a dive watch can’t have an easy-to-turn bezel. Besides, most of us won’t be using it frequently anyway, and it serves more of a visual purpose rather than practical. However, I would’ve preferred a somewhat easier operation of the bezel. Excellent review. I’ve been in and out of watch “collecting “ for years and mostly I collect dust! What sold me on your review “non brand seiko movement” whaaa? The single most faked watch in the world is the legendary Rolex Submariner. This is understandable since it also is the most desirable watch in the world. While you already know that both watches come with a Japanese automatic movement, it is also worth noting that both models use the same caliber in their movement. Thanks for your thourough review. I have owned this watch now for six years. I own a couple of far more expensive Tissots, Seikos and Oris’ but out of every ten days I wear this one 9… Use it while sporting and swimming: never a problem. Yes, it is not a Rolex ( want one) but it is a very good and neat watch. I even got some compliments from Rolex owners :-). Greetings from The Netherlands. Reply

But Invicta does not just copy watches, they also copy the boxes they are sent out in. To find more about this you can google their Plasticase lawsuit. Here Invicta was, allegedly, sent multiple possible case designs they had commissioned only to reject them and then use the designs to produce them cheaper elsewhere. Having seen the pictures of the original box and the copy of Invicta I have to say that I believe their talents in copying boxes way surpass those of copying watches. A noticeable difference by the Invicta is the counterweight of the seconds hand that uses their logo and actually looks rather nice. All in all the dial is usually the most important element of any watch and in that regard I feel that the Invicta only looks good at first glance. Of course this movement can not live up to the quality, craftsmanship, and reliability of the Rolex 3135/3235.

The NH35 movement is made by Seiko Instruments, which also makes the Seiko watches. They’re a Japanese company making some of the highest-quality watches and movements on the planet. Sellita SW200 With a retail price that not everyone can afford. Coupled with the limited supply, there is bound to be a discrepancy between those that want this watch and those that can have it. Great review🍻. Glad I just bought one and look forward for delivery in two weeks to Australia. My Tag stopped working so I was looking for something similar for less than what it costs to fix a quarts Swiss watch. Realistically I work as a gardener and want to jump in the pool after work without taking off my watch. Nothing fancy but I do have standards👍 Reply The NH35A is one of the cheapest movements that is easily available. It is so cheap that if you ever run into problems with it, it would probably be cheaper to just replace it completely rather than try and service it.

Watch collectors appreciate the Pro Diver 8926OB for its classic and timeless aesthetic, which resembles that of high-end luxury watches. The stainless steel case and bracelet give the watch a sense of durability and elegance, making it a versatile choice for both formal occasions and everyday wear. It has a BPH of 21,600 which means that it has a smooth sweep of the second hand at 6 beats per second. The power reserve is a standard 41 hours.Having been one of those people in the late 90s that watches shop nbc when this company was selling their products every Sunday night at 7 pm I ended up buying several Invictas. Oh the horror stories of markers falling off on the dial and waiting one year for the return of the watch to only have nothing done. I moved on and Doxa thanks to the Dirk Pitt novels really started me all over in the hobby and straight in the trash the Invictas went not before I joyfully took them to the gun range for target practice. And that part of my watch collecting history is almost forgotten. It’s a good review but this company will always get my utter and complete disdain! Followed by a small thanks for getting me into the hobby. Reply Answer: Yes, the Invicta Pro Diver (Reference: 8926OB) features a durable mineral crystal that resists scratches and protects the watch face. While it is not as scratch-resistant as sapphire crystal, the mineral crystal on this watch offers excellent durability for everyday wear. However, it is always advisable to handle your watch with care to avoid unnecessary scratches. That is why, in defence of the Invicta, I would like to point out that while the bracelet suffers in comparison with the Rolex it is very much in line with other watches of that price segment. I did the first image right after strong light exposure, the other one approximately an hour later, and the third one three hours later. The results were disappointing, to say the least. I would have hoped to get a much better luminosity from a diver than from a casual chronograph. I, actually, don’t mind the invicta engraving, on the side. I kind of like it really. Sets it apart from the thousands of other “homages” out there.
