About this deal

Looper - it's very limited because it's only available as a part of a patch, you cannot switch patches while using looper

There’s an onboard chromatic tuner that can be controlled with a footswitch. It supports all standard guitar tunings, which can be helpful for all kinds of guitarists. If you’re looking to use the looper, you can also use it in tandem with the Zoom G3Xn MultiEffects Processor’s 68 built-in rhythm patterns. The looper allows for 80 seconds of recording too. Not the best set of usage instructions and explanations provided with the gear but good quality product. Hopefully reliable too.

There are five new amp emulators as well as five cabinet emulators. There are also 75 custom-designed factory patches as well. All patch parameters can be automatically saved with the auto save function that comes with the Zoom G3Xn MultiEffects Processor. These are all very useful functions that come in handy for guitarists.

If you are on a budget, then the Zoom G3X might be a good option. However, Zoom G3Xn is a better option in general. It has a better sound quality for starters. Also, the design is very nice and you can control your sound during live gigs easily through Zoom G3XN. Holding down footswitch one puts the unit into a mode where you can use the other two footswitches just likethe patch select buttons - footswitch two selecting the next patch down the list and three the next patch up (you can jump banks by pressing one and two or two and thee simultaneously). While the G3 comes loaded with patches that showcase the unit's sonic capabilities, most of them are quite practical, with instantly usable tones formed from a complementary array of individual effects (or amp and effects). There are 68 built-in rhythm patterns included with the G3Xn, making it the perfect practice rig and enabling "one-man band" performances. And, of course, if you are adept at tap dancing you could switch patches during a song as well as having access to the individual effects. It is possible to save a patch so that none, one, two or three effects are active when it is recalled. If you have been playing the guitar for a while now, then you know how important it is to be able to create your own sound. To do that, you need a good pedal. Also, you might need a pedal to make your guitar’s sound fit into the style of your band. The Zoom G3X has a depth of 175 mm, a width of 323 mm, and a height of 66 mm. The Zoom G3Xn, on the other hand, is 181 mm deep, 318 mm wide, and 64 mm tall. The Zoom G3Xn is just a little bit heavier than the Zoom G3X and both are compact, lightweight, and versatile for that reason. Zoom G3XN Design Often overlooked, but very handy, especially when it supports all kinds of tunings. No longer do you have to hunt for a tuner at home, in the studio, or at a gig it's all right here. Drop Tuning? Open Tuning? No problem, you'll always be playing at perfect pitch with this pedal Easy to use Zoom G3Xn has a larger memory, and it can store up to 150 patches. There are also 75 custom-designed patches included, which makes you sound like famous guitar players. Moreover, there are 68 built-in rhythm patterns and you can use them for your home or studio practice. Zoom G3XN Price I gave it a four out of five because I have no frame of reference (never having used actual pedal before), otherwise I would have given it a five out of five.

Recording is dead easy via the USB connection, which has a direct monitoring capability so you can hear exactly what you are playing without any latency delay, while, for live use, the combination of patch selection plus effects bypass via footswitch works a treat, and is very flexible in the options it gives you. The Zoom G3X vs G3XN have become a big success and many guitarists like these effect pedals because of the nice sound effects. There is also a convenient USB port that allows you to connect directly to a device. Even more, the interface is so easy to learn and use. All of these combined make both of these pedals very beginner-friendly. The G3XN has an additional expression pedal for use with delays or any other parameters like reverb mix etc. As well as for the obvious uses like wah and volume. Key Features I don't know how it compares to actual pedals but it definately makes great sounds. From a value for money point of view it cost the same as four or five actual pedals but has more than that built in.The user interface is easy to use which is a major plus considering most effects units are complicated and confusing. There are 3 independent screens that have 4 knobs along the bottom of them. Each knob lines up with a parameter on screen, and changing that effect is as easy as turning the knob.

An onboard Looper (which can be used with the rhythm patterns) allows you to record and overdub phrases up to 80 seconds long through the effects of your choice. It's perhaps in making the transition to the stage that the G3 really excels, though. For those looking to expand their existing pedal selection, this would be a great utility item, effectively adding three independent pedals of any type in a rugged, reasonably compact form.

Highlights:

To be able to control your effects while you play is always a bonus, which is why we love the built-in Expression pedal. With the ability to assign it to a variety of different parameters it gives you a whole range of new versatility. Highlights: Zoom has equipped the G3Xn with enough effects for even the most textured guitarist. The amplifier and cabinet modes allow you to DI your guitar straight to an audio interface whilst still getting a classic speaker tone. The modes include classic amplifier sounds from Fender, MESA Boogie, Marshall and more. The controls on the G3Xn accurately reflect the parameters of each amplifier, so you can tweak it to the classic tones. The range of effects and parameters that can be accessed allow you to build complex layers and textures. An on-board EQ and compression ensure that your signal is never lost. All of the effects can be aligned in your own chain setting to create your own signature sound. Choose from 16 classic amp models and adjust the sound exactly as you would with the knobs and switches of the real thing—and then pair your amp with one of the 16 new cabinet emulators to complete the sound.
