About this deal

Similar to all other TWS products, there is a box, you open it, take the case out, pair with your device; then listen. Compared to the Studio Buds, the Beats have the edge in high frequencies, displaying a slightly crisper and brighter tone; but the Beats don’t describe instruments or voices as well as the Final ZE3000, nor extract the same level of dynamism. To solve this problem, the ZE3000 are shaped in such a way that they only have three points of contact with your ear, leaving the rest of your skin untouched. Maybe the biggest success of Final, among all its IEMs and headphones is E3000, which has won ten consecutive Gold medals in Japan's largest audio awards, the VGP, and it has sold hundreds of thousands of units since its launch in 2017. A year ago, Qualcomm started to talk about its new aptX adaptive technology which is near lossless in certain situations.

final ZE3000 - Reviews | Headphone Reviews and Discussion

Thanks to their balanced sound signature they’re able to do justice to most genres and deliver a particularly impressive performance when handling more complex classical numbers. Some might describe their EQ as flat or neutral — both considered ideal from an audiophile perspective — but I’ve always found truly flat EQ a little cold, which my brain interprets as a lack of emotion. This sound signature works for most music listeners who like switching between various music genres like Classical, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Folk and Pop. A shape was chosen that would be best for handling and that would have sufficiently robust reception to ensure the clearest possible Bluetooth signal. The storage case for the ZE3000 can hold up to 35 hours of battery charge and takes a couple of hours to recharge.I have seen several TWS models in the market and I have even tried some; it was clear to me in all cases that one would choose them for their ease of use and not for their sound. As well as designing a pair of true wireless earbuds that could deliver audiophile-quality sound, the engineers also focused on comfort.

The Qualcomm chipset that final chose offers support for aptX adaptive as well as AAC used by Apple in its iOS devices. In short: if you only need good sound, save the extra bucks and get the ZE3000 – they simply sound better. In a way, you can say it is a bargain / VFM compared to wired setup since you don't need additional DAC, cable etc to get a pretty great sound. It’s a similar case with TNGHT’s Higher Ground; there’s more nuance and fewer fireworks from the Final. If you care about audio fidelity and want high-quality sound without paying oodles for it, put these on your shortlist. Even if you switch on the noise canceling, battery life only drops to 15 hours, meaning these tiny earbuds easily outperform the competition. On the instrumental song “Maria También” by Khruangbin, from the album Con Todo El Mundo, Night Time Stories Ltd, the sound is as punchy, but somewhat more detailed than the sound of Final A4000, which really surprised me.

The Tanchjim Echo (review here) is probably the closest TWS earphone I have to the ZE3000 in terms of sound signature. You get five sizes to choose from (including the pre-installed large size), so most folks should be able to find a combo that suits their ear shape. With shells borrowed from the B-series like the A8000 the A-series are shaping up to be the sister models of the E-series, with the A3000 and A4000 sliding right in-between the E3000 and E4000 in terms of pricing hierarchy. In fact, I dare to say that to this day I have not found this exact tonality in any other IEM or headphone set among those that I have tried. You want the creature comforts of noise cancellation The Final don’t offer any advanced features of that sort. Now, it is well known that it is really difficult to make an audiophile TWS model; a company has to overcome a number of obstacles that mainly have to do with putting delicate electronics in an earbud housing and making sure that these electronics do not interfere with the earbud driver. Not only will they feel less comfortable, but it will also adversely affect sound quality — two things I learned the hard way. Sound is unlike any other BT headphone or earbud out there in terms of clarity and lack of distortion, with just the right amount bass. The A4000 has a much more traditional V-shaped signature, this time leaning even further into brightness.

The overall signature is so relaxed to the point that one can listen to really aggressive musical pieces for a long time without getting tired. The driver itself is of a new design (f-Core wireless driver), and since the chamber design is at the front allows for the 6mm diminutive size to mimic a 9mm.I was also overly impressed by the huge soundstage in all dimensions and the truly holographic image. ConclusionFinal gave up a lot in pursuing raw sound quality without DSP wizardry or forceful equalization. I took the time to try a few different sizes of ear tips and ended up settling on the largest size to create a good acoustic seal so that I could hear all that the 6mm f-core dynamic driver that the company developed especially for the ZE3000. There are areas where other true wireless earphones have the edge, but when compared to the Beats Studio Buds and Sennheiser CX Plus, neither pair achieves the overall tonal balance of the ZE3000. There’s such good clarity in the midrange that when switching over to different TWS earphones almost everything sounds veiled in comparison.
