About this deal

Same thing happened- it was a particularly cold winter when we did have it and may be it was just our luck - who knows but i was attracted to the design and colours as well as its purpose so would be tempted again if I was honest - but probably only when on sale, otherwise not worth the money. The most reliable way to accurately monitor your baby’s room temperature is with a room thermometer, so it's worth investing in one for their health and wellbeing. had one of these and being the little gadget nerds that we are it was great at first, used it and it was a great comfort (or so i thought) it bugged me how such a simple thing could measure the temperature so well- however after a few months it just stopped working- no money lost as it was a gift i went and got us another.

The Gro Clock sleep trainer is mains powered however it would be nice to have the option of batteries also for ease when travelling, camping or even just repositioning in your child’s bedroom. Adjustable brightness means the Groegg2 can be used as a nightlight at a light level that suits your baby. Its silicone dome emits a soft glow - although this might not be enough light to help you navigate midnight nappy changes - and there are three different light levels to choose from to provide a calming environment for your baby. Purchasing via an affiliate link doesn’t cost you any extra, and I only recommend products and services I trust. If a baby gets too warm, there's an increased risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), also known as cot death. The Tommee Tippe Groegg is a digital thermometer designed to help you give your little one the best chance of a good night’s sleep. This is inconvenient and increases the cost of the product, as it effectively does not work without it.

While it certainly doesn’t disturb my daughter when she’s asleep, there’s no real way of me knowing whether the Groegg2 helps to calm her down. If the room temperature is outside this range, take action to cool or heat the room, or adjust the baby’s bedding or clothing. You press a button on the underside of the unit to alter the brightness levels and the padded feet mean you can place the Groegg2 anywhere without surfaces getting scratched. The colours of the Groegg coordinate with the colour codes on the tog ratings of Grobags, helping you to easily decide which tog Grobag to dress your baby in.The Gro-egg 2, is a colour changing digital room thermometer, is another clever innovation to help promote safer sleep for babies from the people who brought you the Grobag, Baby Sleep Bag. Babies can’t yet regulate their own body temperature, so you need to make sure that their room is neither too hot (to reduce the risk of SIDS) nor too cold for them to sleep safely and hopefully soundly. The brightness can also be changed to suit your preference – a great feature as a lot of nightlights are set at just one brightness.

While the Groegg2 may not be that useful to you if your baby monitor gives you accurate room temperature readings, you may still find it handy as a general room thermometer for other rooms in your house. The innovative colour display will let you know if the room is too warm, too cold, or within the correct temperature range (yellow glow) at a quick glance. Sometimes it did become very overwhelming with what the temperature of the room was and as a new parent there was concern as to how to deal with this temperature.
